Participants will learn about identifying species of Social and solitary bees in India, their behaviour and about equipment used for and the art of bee keeping. Participants are requested to fill out this registration form and make a donation of INR 1000 per head to confirm their spots. Lunch, refreshments and a handout on beekeeping will be included.

Butterfly enthusiasts embarked on a captivating journey led by Haneesh KM, co-founder of the Bangalore Butterfly Club. Week 3 presented more Nature Walks, a panel discussion on Urban Wildlife and Us with four experts: Karthikeyan S. Ulhas Anand, Garima Bhatia and Bijoy Venugopal, as well as some engaging activities for kids. Hiss-tory a presentation by team PfA unravelled snake facts and the current anti-venom protocol in our country.
Kids had a blast delving into the wonders of our city's natural heritage through engaging games and activities. The exciting session, thoughtfully designed for young explorers, provided a unique and enjoyable way to learn. Participants reveled in the dynamic atmosphere as they absorbed valuable insights about the local environment. In collaboration with Bngbirds, a captivating morning of bird watching unfolded at the historic Lalbagh botanical gardens in a recent event. The walk, conducted by Team PfA, offered an unforgettable experience for nature enthusiasts. Commencing with a brief talk by PfA on how to handle injured birds, participants were equipped with valuable insights. The event seamlessly blended education and enjoyment, creating a memorable exploration of avian wonders in the tranquil setting of Lalbagh.

PfA opened its wildlife hospital for tour, led by Team PfA. Attendees met skilled veterinarians and rehab specialists, learning about the diverse animals shaping PfA's mission. Balcony Birding with Garima Bhatia took place from 4:30 to 5:30 pm, broadcasted live on PfA Wildlife Rescue & Conservation Centre's YouTube channel. The event provided participants with a unique opportunity to delve into the fascinating world of birds that surround us daily, bringing joy and wonder with their vibrant colors and melodious songs. During this engaging online talk, led by the renowned birder Garima Bhatia, attendees learned to recognise their avian neighbors both by sight and sound. The session served as an insightful journey into the diverse birdlife present in our surroundings. Participants gained valuable knowledge and a deeper appreciation for the winged wonders that share our living spaces.
Week 1 kicked off with a YouTube LIVE session on discovering one's Spirit Animal through art and writing, followed by Balcony Birding to appreciate avian neighbours.
The WILDCITY Photo Contest that ran through the month, captured urban wildlife, urging participants to showcase different facets of the city's wild side.
The event Living with the Wild held throughout September was a celebration of our journey in saving and nurturing urban wildlife in the city. With a focus on the rescue and rehabilitation of injured, orphaned, or displaced wildlife, including birds, mammals, and reptiles, the PfA Wildlife Hospital has become Bangalore's largest wildlife hospital, boasting an impressive record of 36,000 rescues. The past events under Living with the Wild brought together our dedicated team and the supportive citizens of the city, emphasising the importance of coexisting with nature in an urbanised environment. Throughout the month, participants engaged in nature-loving activities, fostering awareness and appreciation for the city's diverse wildlife. This event served as a platform to express gratitude for the collective efforts that have contributed to the success of our mission.
The Veterinary Workshop, which took place at PfA was a resounding success, leaving all participants highly impressed. The PfA team, including the Veterinary, Rehabilitation, Communication, and Volunteer teams, received accolades for their exceptional teamwork. The participants praised the team for the extensive knowledge and valuable insights they gained about wildlife during the workshop. The success of the event underscored the dedication and expertise of the PfA team in imparting valuable information to those eager to learn about wildlife.
Mr. Mani, an accomplished wildlife photographer, conducted a Photography Workshop at the Knowledge Centre at PfA. The workshop was attended by members of the vet team, rehab team, communication team, and the rescue team. The session provided valuable insights into basic photography. Staff, interns, and volunteers actively participated, benefiting from Mr. Mani's expertise and enhancing their photographic skills.
The Summer Camp, spanning 5+1 glorious days from April 17th to April 22nd, unfolded in and around the center, creating a memorable experience for the participating children. The event was marked by enjoyable and interactive activities, making it a fun-filled week of sensitising, learning, and personal growth. Each day was action-packed, commencing before 9 am and concluding after 3 pm, ensuring a dynamic and engaging schedule for all involved. The Summer Camp successfully blended education with enjoyment, providing children with a holistic and enriching experience in a vibrant and interactive environment.
